Many Call Centres are Customer Service focused. These Call Centre’s may upsell products or services to existing clients, but do not usually make outbound calls.

Customer Service is definately an option if you are looking for a Call center role. It is not however my area of expertise and therefore not in the scope of my work here – which focuses purely on Telemarketing.

Telemarketing Job Hours

I always have telemarketers in for a maximum of 4- 6 hours a day.

I know this may not seem like much, but due to the type of work Telemarketing is, I have found that it is a rare person who can give their all for 8 hours a day.

The time of day of most shifts depend largely on the type of business and on the ideal client they want to talk to.

Telemarketing Hours for Business:

Normally any time during business hours. Often businesses will two shifts of telemarketers each week day of 4 – 6 hours per shift.

Telemarketing Hours for Residential:

4 – 8pm Monday to Friday and Saturday Morning are average times for these types of Call Centres to operate.

In NSW Australia (where I do most of my work) the hours you can tele-market ( according to regulations set by The Department of Fair Trading) are; Monday – Friday 9am – 8pm Saturday 9am -5pm Sunday and Public Holidays NO

Please look up the appropriate hours in your state or country if necessary, but when going for a job with a company, they will have taken care of the legal requirements themselves.

Many people like the idea of doing Telemarketing from home. To find out more about this option….
